The 1800TATLINE Movie is an in-progress project fueled by my passion for storytelling, tattooing, and love for the arts: A testament to the power of community and the resilience of the human spirit. The film explores the rich history and traditions of tattooing, highlighting the unique perspectives and experiences of the artists who have dedicated their lives to this art form: through sharing documentary footage surrounding the process of creation of the paintings, the 1800TATLINE showcase events, interviews sharing tattoo philosophy, live tattooing sessions, sharing the stories and perspective of the community involved, and behind-the-scenes footage of the entire project, viewers are invited to explore the beauty and complexity of tattooing, the almost lost-art of flash painting, and its place in modern culture.

This vision was initiated in the summer of 2022 by documenting both the creation and celebration of a collection of these contemporary paintings crafted in the lowbrow folk-art during the 1800TATLINE Showcase events.
